Verdun Child and Family Center

A series of four workshops designed for families whose children will be starting preschool (4-year-old or 5-year-old kindergarten) at the start of the next school year. These workshops are specifically intended for parents who did not attend school in Quebec or for children who do not attend daycare. This year, childcare services for younger siblings will be offered thanks to a grant from the Verdun borough.

May 27: Introducing children to reading and writing in different languages

Île-des-Soeurs School

JAME is recruiting for a new series of four parent-child workshops designed for families with an immigrant background.

These free workshops are designed to provide a space for parents and children to share information and engage in dialogue, using books that explore a variety of experiences related to immigration.

Here are the topics covered:

April 10: Changes related to immigration and neighborhood resources

May 1: The Welcome Class and School in Quebec

May 29: Learning French and Bilingualism

June 12: Building a Multicultural Identity

LaSalle Recreation and Community Center (8700 Hardy Street)

Organized by C.A.D.R.E., this free activity provides families with access to a gym for open play for toddlers and older children every Sunday throughout the winter!

Throughout March, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., JAME is offering a reading area for families with children ages 0 to 12!
